Westboro Baptist picketing Heath Ledger's memorial service

The Westboro Baptist Church has claimed that they will picket memorial services dedicated to deceased Australian actor Heath Ledger. Is this a shameless act?

Is this the same church that was on A Current Affair? (or was it Today Tonight?). Oh, it doesn't really matter. These people are so strange. Protesting, simple because Heath had a 'gay role' in Brokeback Mountain. I understand that they hate gays (which I don't), but it was just a role! Are they stupid? Do they think Brokeback Mountain was real or something? Oh, and they insulted Australia too! Saying that we're bad for accepting gays, and being proud of Heath Ledger, who they claim as gay just because he was in Brokeback Mountain. To be correct, he was actually bi in the movie. On a global scope, I think Religion is getting way out of it's purpose. My parents are Buddhists, but I prefer to be an atheist, and I actually respect all religions, even though I'm not a follower. I'm 15, and see how open-minded I am, compared to that Church? Honestly, hating gays is one thing, but actually protesting about it is insane. My use of the word 'gays' doesn't actually come with a negative connotation, so I hope I'm not be offensive to anyone :)
