Housing affordability: is there a crisis?

There is much talk of a crisis in housing affordability, but how much of it is realistic and how much is simply young prospective buyers looking in suburbs they cannot afford?

I think that a lot of the perceived dramas with this issue is indeed people trying to buy above their means. There are plenty of houses is less fashionable suburbs that are quite affordable.

simple. too many people and too few houses plus a lot of investors snapping up more than their share!!
