Coalition narrows margin in polls

In polling one week into the election, the Coalition has narrowed the margin between itself and the ALP. Can they close the gap, or will announcements from Labor push it back out?

I think it will swing back in the ALP's favour after they make a few announcements, but no where near as far as before.
May prove to be a much closer election than anticipated.
How many ALP voters would be fearful of some Tampa-style trump card getting played in the last couple of weeks?

Peter Garret's latest gaff to Steve Price worries me a bit but I still think Labor will hang on for a comfortable win. Maybe they could put a muzzle on the former rock star.
